The Chow brothers, owners of 89 Courtenay Place, formerly known as CMC House and once home to a motor assembly plant and built in the 1940’s, have recently announced they are scrapping their previously announced plan to completely refurbish the office building and now intend to create  a 230 room 4 star hotel. Completion date is expected to be late this year. This will take out approximately 8,000 square metres from the available space in the Wellington office market. (28th March 2018)
