Capiche House (an office building with retail on the ground floor) sometime referred to as Sharp House at 109 Dixon Street is to be replaced by a $65 million apartment block to be completed by December 2018. The new building will have 114 one bedroom units and 6 retail spaces on the ground floor. It will be developed and built by Vicinity, a Wellington based architectural firm represented by Mike Cole in association  with building firm Arrow International. Capiche House was previously owned by Herman Rockerfeller and before that John Potter, both colourful characters with an interesting past.  It was an earthquake prone character office building which has remained empty for a number of years apart from casual tenants on the ground floor.
